Abby Xiao and Austin Yuan attended CBE Undergraduate Symposium
April 16th, Abby and Austin presented their work at the CBE Undergraduate Symposium. After a semester of full-time research, they have made good progress and presented their work to wrap up this full-time experience. Good job!

Abby Xiao Winning the W.C. Brinegar Chemical Engineering Prize
May 8th 2025, the CBE department announced the W.C. Brinegar Chemical Engineering Prize winner—Abby Xiao. This prize is awarded at the end of the Junior year to rising seniors who have demonstrated outstanding creativity and innovation in Chemical Engineering. Along with this prize, Abby will be representing RPI CBE to participate in the Undergraduate Poster Competition at the annual AICHE conference this year. Congratulations Abby!

Ben Sasso Selected as Corning Undergraduate Research Scholar!
Ben Sasso has been selected for the Corning Undergraduate Research Scholar Program. In addition to working with Prof. Kim, Ben will collaborate on research projects with Prof. Plawsky (CBE) and Prof. Huang (ECSE).

Dr. Hwang Joins NeRDy!
We are excited to announce that Dr. Myonghoo Hwang has joined our research group as a postdoctoral researcher. NeRdy Lab Awarded NRF Grant for Collaborative Research
The NeRdy Lab has been awarded a three-year grant from the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Korea to support collaborative research on the "Superchiral and Spin-polarization Integrated Optoelectronic Nanostructure Laboratory." This funding will enhance the lab's capabilities and drive innovative research in optoelectronic nanostructures.
